You see, 086 numbers cost less than normal numbers to host. This helps us cover the cost of sending the fax and any support costs. This means we can give you a fax number for free.

What you should know

• The sender of a fax to your number will pay R2.02 per minute (incl. VAT). But remember, because this is digital, sending faxes to email takes half the time, so the bigger the fax, the bigger the savings.
• You can have as many Fax2Email numbers as you want. Each email address (or alias) gets its own 086 number.
• Your faxes are safer because 086 numbers can't be intercepted. They are as safe as your emails.
• Unlike Fax2Email, RightFax and WinFax need phone lines, servers and licenses to run.
• Faxes are compressed so that they're really small (about 30KB) so won't slow down your servers.
• If your fax gets lost, we can resend them because we keep all received faxes for 30 days.
• If you change your email address, let us know and we will reroute your faxes to the new address
